Misjudgment of the Villagers

Synopsis

Chen Haifeng, owner of an aquatic company, foresees a severe storm. He rushes to Tantu Village with eight million in cash to harvest live shrimp and help villagers evacuate. Fooled by a rival, villager Li Erqiang stirs others to refuse cooperation. Village chief Liu Degui embezzles subsidies and cuts corners on pond embankments. The embankments collapse in the storm, wiping out all shrimp farms. Villagers falsely accuse Chen Haifeng, but recant once evidence comes out. Forgiving them, Chen Haifeng offers support, guides scientific farming, and helps the village rebuild its industry.
